Maintenance costs for automated machines significantly reduced

With new HMI remote access and control.

NB Series now has VCN, FTP & additional features to export/import CSV files and dynamically change graphical object by remote.

Omron has upgraded its highly popular HMI NB Series with powerful new remote access and control features. This means you can collect process data and change machine parameters/recipes faster and more securely than ever before - from anywhere in the world, and see HMI screens by using your own preferred Android or IOS device. “This is a powerful example of Omron’s commitment to continuously support and upgrade the NB Series and therefore ensure a truly future-proof HMI solution,” said Roberto Zenoni, Omron European Product Marketing Manager - Compact Automation Products.

Global maintenance - one central site

The newly added remote control features show centralised maintenance engineers exactly what the local operator sees, so they can resolve problems immediately, without wasting any time travelling. They can even update their HMI graphics remotely, without interrupting machine operations. These new remote access features are in addition to the existing conventional web browser functionalities and provide even more opportunities for fast maintenance, easy upgrade, and increased productivity.

Pleasant to program

The feature-rich NB Series also comes with a wide range of powerful macros to effortlessly create applications for a wide range machines in industries such as packaging, food, plastics and textiles. The NB Series is the perfect partner for Omron Controller NJ/NX and CP/CJ, as well Safety controller G9SP, Inverters, Temperature controllers, in Serial and Ethernet direct connectivity and allows multi-protocol connectivity for non-Omron Devices.

Appealing to see

You have a wide choice of different fonts and colours to create appealing screens that clearly  indicate varying degrees of status and priorities. The screens are always easy-to-read thanks to the high-brilliance LED backlight and wide viewing angle. There’s also a broad choice of screen sizes from 3.5 to 10.1 inches to ensure information never seems crowded and is always appealing to read.

Enjoyable to use

For the machine manufacturer the highly flexible design features, such as the off- line/on-line simulation, make screen creation easy and enjoyable. For maintenance engineers, the USB memory stick support and the newly added remote control features significantly save time and enable your engineers to work at optimum efficiency. While the smooth animation, flexible window handling, and extensive language support make the NB Series enjoyable also for the machine operators.

It all adds up to a future-proof HMI solution

“The NB Series has always been the preferred choice for machine builders across the world,” said Zenoni.  “Now, with the newly added remote control features, these versatile and compact HMIs provide yet another reason for manufacturers to choose your machines – significantly reduced maintenance cost and maximised productivity.”
